Fishery starting in Samsun... A. Tuncay SAGUN, Chairman of Group SAGUN, has carried Kemal Balıkçılık, which he took over from his father Kemal SAGUN, to Group SAGUN today, which has 12 companies as well as production facilities in 18 different facilities in 6 different regions in Turkey and in 3 different countries abroad. The biggest factor in this success of A. Tuncay SAGUN, who has achieved a complete success story in his sector, is his love for fishery almost with passion. Group SAGUN, which is shown among the few leading companies in the world today under the management of A. Tuncay SAGUN, has also broken a record in its field with the number of products it produces. The group today exports 70 percent of its production with a human resource of 1,500 people. Group SAGUN, which has entered among the largest industrial organizations of Turkey with its rich product portfolio and services in all sectors in which it operates, also maintains leadership in its own sector as well as being among the top 500 companies that export the most. The group still realizes direct exports to 35 countries, primarily Europe and Japan.

A. Tuncay SAGUN, who realized the transformation of fishery into industrialism, operates in every stage of fishery from hunting to breeding, processing to storage, import and export to logistics with the companies within Group SAGUN.

The biggest dream of A. Tuncay SAGUN, who turned Kemal Balıkçılık into the largest group in Turkey in its field in approximately 40 years, is to make SAGUN a world-renowned brand. In addition to his businessman identity, A. Tuncay SAGUN served as the Chairman of the Istanbul Fishery and Animal Products Exporters' Association for 12 years and as a Member of the Sector Council of the Turkish Exporters' Assembly.

Born in 1963, Tuncay SAGUN is married and has two children.

  • In 2016, realized the Biomar-Sagun company to meet the fish feed needs of Turkey and the Middle East.
  • In 2018, established Black Sea salmon facilities in Sinop, an important value of our country, and introduced this product to the world market.
  • In 2020, was awarded the Japanese Ambassador’s Award by Japanese Ambassador Mr. Akio Miyajima for his contributions to commercial relations between Turkey and Japan.
  • In 2021, included Antalya Balık A.Ş., which operates in fishery processing and marketing in the Mediterranean and Aegean regions, into group companies.
  • 2022 Established Sagun Tunisia company to conduct tuna fattening in Tunisia.
  • 2023 Established Sagun Korea company to increase our share and influence in the Asian market.
  • 2025 Launched Turkey’s first cold storage and processing vessel MME SEDA SAGUN.
