Kemal Balıkçılık was founded in Samsun in the early 1960s, later expanding its trade with the opening of a shop in the Istanbul Kumkapı Fish Market. As the first company of Group Sagun and the one that carried out the group’s initial exports, it holds a flagship position within the organization.

Today, Kemal Balıkçılık exports to numerous countries, from France to Germany, Switzerland to Poland, Italy to Russia, the United States to Japan, and Canada to South Korea and China. It has earned many awards and top rankings in its sector.

In addition to Sagun’s own farmed fish such as tuna, gilt-head bream, sea bass, dusky grouper, trout and Black Sea salmon, the company also exports products like frog, mushroom and snail, offering a wide product range.

The company has been managed by the Sagun Family for four generations.
